Imagine this: some friends are taking me to Seville, Spain for my birthday because my mood was really low, having just gone through a divorce.

My friends names are Paul and Peter, and while waiting to board our flight, we meet John. All biblical names!

We parted ways after we landed, but then a strange twist of serendipity brought us all back together in Seville for an insane 48 hours of laughter, commiseration and relating to how we were all trying to be great fathers while being divorced and balancing so much else in life.

The meeting in Seville wasn't a one-off. John and I still support each other to this day, and when he came to visit, we took a walk in springtime rural Essex. In all that bloom, we recorded an episode about our experiences, trying to look for hope when faced with heavy life consequences.
